7 Wonders of the World

Did anybody Realise that the 7 wonders of the world had been revised?

The official new wonders of the world where elected during a world wide poll of more then 100 million votes to represent global heritage throughout history and announced at a declaration of ceremony in Lisbon on 07.07.07
The pyramids of Giza where given honorary status as a new wonder, as the only existing original wonder of the world.

You may wonder why the hell I have decided to share this with you,
but someone once told me if you want something and think it too yourself you are 10% likely to achieve,

If you share your ideas with someone else then you are 25% likely to achieve but if you write it down, then you will be reminded of what you originally planned to do; and are almost 80% likely to achieve. x8 more likely than if you had just kept your idea in your head! Its worked so far.

So here's the idea:

Me & Andrew have made a pack, to write down all the places we want to visit in our life, together, and have decided to include all of the new wonders of the world.

The first 6 on the list, hopefully before we are 30, and the others? well we are planning a lifetime together so there's no need to rush!

Take a look and see what you think:
1. Train Ride through Canada and visit to Niagara Falls

2. New Zealand Adventure Trail: Glaciers, Skiing, Whitewater Rafting, Horseback Riding & Whale Watching

3. Yosemite National Park California

4. Hawaii

5. Italy/Greece

  • Coliseum of Rome (Wonder 1)
  • Canals of Venice
  • Pompeii
  • Mount Vesuvius
  • Sistine Chapel
  • St Peters Basilica - Vatican
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa
  • Acropolis - Athens
  • Temple of Zeus - Olympia

6. Fjords of Norway and Aurora Borealis - Northern Lights (Natural wonder)

7. Pyramids of Giza - Egypt (Honorary Wonder of the World)

8. Harbour of Rio de Janiero and Christ the Redeemer (Natural wonder and Wonder 2)

9. Petra - Jordan (Wonder 3)

10. Great Wall of China (Wonder 4)

11. Machu Picchu -Peru (Wonder 5)

12. Chichen Itza - Mexico (Wonder 6)

13. Taj Mahal - India (Wonder 7 )

The Future

As you are all aware I spend most of my free time in the Beauty Salon on my latest beauty fix, however I dont know how I ever got through life without knowing my latest news.

I am booking my very first Universal Contour Body Wrap

The scientifically proven inch loss treatment from Universal Contour Wrap that guarantees you’ll lose at least 6 inches in just 2 hours, making it the perfect solution when you have to look your best for that special occasion.

The 6 inch loss is also guaranteed to stay off for at least 30 days so you can be confident of looking great long after leaving the salon. This may sound too good to be true but with average losses of 10-14 inches from just one treatment, and if you dont lose 6 inches get a treatment absoluley free!

It doesn’t just deliver exceptional inch loss; the unique clay formula and special wrapping techniques the therapists use, also tighten and tone your body while exfoliating and cleansing the skin so you will not only look great, you’ll feel fabulous too, after just one treatment.

Oh it gets better than that!!!

A course of three treatments is advised over a 30 day period with the average loss over the body being 22-25 inches and it is not unusual to lose a whole dress size!

Perfect for holidays and weddings of course.
Nearest Salon to us is in Kendal with Treatments on average:
£45 for a single session - full body and £115 for a course of three.
Sod the new shoes and the diet!

This is deffinatley geting booked!!

Will update you with the results......

Friday 9th April - Soon to be Mrs D!

My wedding is 4 weeks tommorow!!

Not only can I not wait to be married and get my new house finished and move in, but I can't wait for my rediculous year of spending on grown up stuff like weddings and houses to be over so I can go back to buying nice things like clothes and shoes!!
Is that bad??? (The good angel on my shoulder says it is, when the little devil on the other shoulder keeps saying, yeah we can put a bigger waredrobe in the new house! haha)

Not that I want it to be all over, because I will be gutted when its all done.

But I dont think I am one for the post nuptual blues!

I really want these boots off ASOS!(£110)

Yes I know I am at work and should be concentrating on other things besides shoes, but its Friday and my boss will forgive me! Aren't they lovely xxx

Sandals Royal Carribean - Montego Bay 27th Feb - 13th March 2009

A holiday of a life time, pure luxury. Sandals Royal Carribean is only a small resort but the staff coundn't be more friendly and the people of Jamaica, the food and the music are brilliant! And un beknown to me, my Andrew had a little suprise of his own up his sleeve! After a week of the best time ever, Andrew organised a suprise candle lit dinner on the beach! This is it! This is it! After 10 years together, I did had a little incling it was coming but I never dreamed he would suprise me so nicely! As I walked onto the private beach our butler and now friend (Mr Phillips) was stood by a small table on the sand surrounded by tealights and our names scratched into the soft white sand embelshed with pink and orange petals. Could you be loved (Bob Marley) played quietly in the background and the sound of the gentle waves crashing on the sand was all I could concentrate on over my extremly loud heartbeat! We sat nervously drinking champagne - whilst I thought Andrew was a bit quiter than normal, I just kept thinking "please ask me!" what if I was getting ahead of myself, what if this was just a nice treat! We had our starter and dinner, drank more champagne and dissussed how great our holiday had been so far whilst Mr Phillips went to collect our desserts! Quad biking, Singing on stage with the band! Boat trips and dancing. Andrew took my hands across the table had held my glance, "you know it would make our holiday even better if you said you would be my wife!" my heart nearly burst and my smile beamed from ear to ear! Before I could blink he was on one knee, knelt in the sand with an enormous platinum and diamond ring, sparkling in the candlelight! "will you marry me?" and I said yes! I am engaged xxxx Check out the pictures for the best holiday ever and wedding plans to follow x
